Pregnancy Week 7

How Big is Your Baby

This week your baby will have an incredible growth spurt. The fetus is now 7 week older . The crown to rump length of the baby is 0.16 inch to 0.2 inch that is about a size of green pea in Week 7. The arms and legs buds have grown longer and will continue further although the fingers and toes haven't yet formed. The arms and legs buds have digital plate where the finger and toes will develop.

The brain is growing as well as the lenses of the eyes, nostrils, intestines, pancreas and bronchi. In this Pregnancy Week 7 the heart is bulging from the body and it has been divided into chambers and the cerebral hemispheres are about to develop now. Your baby has already started swimming inside the amniotic sac and is kicking too. However, he’s too small and well-cushioned by the uterus that you won't be able to feel him yet. But don't worry. In a few months you’ll begin to feel him constantly.

Now lets see the early signs of multiple pregnancy

Following are the signs of multiple growths in the uterus. If you are having multiple Pregnancies you may observe these signs partially or completely.
  • Faster rate of weight gain.
  • Increased size of abdomen with more itching on its surface.
  • Heavy pelvis and vagina.
  • Varicose veins.
  • Increased fatigue.
And How Mom is Doing

The pregnancy signs and symptoms will continue and will persist till the end of first trimester. Your hormones are still out of whack as the placenta has not taken over the production of hormones, for your baby. Your uterus is getting bigger, but it still probably isn’t big enough to bulge out. You are glowing! In this Pregnancy Week 7 due to the change in your hormones your skin will improve its texture and color. On the other hand, you may be having the worst outbreak but don’t worry it is temporary.

Due to certain changes in the abdomen region, some women experience constipation. You can rectify it easily by drinking as much as eight 8 ounce glasses a day and adding extra fiber to your diet. In the Week 7 you should add some extra raw fruits and vegetables in your diet not only to get rid of constipation but to add more nutrients for the nourishment of your baby. You can get more information on your pregnancy in Pregnancy Week by Week. Be sure that you are following a healthy diet; research had shown that a lack of nutrients at this crucial stage affects the baby’s developing organs.
