Pregnancy Week 8
How Big is Your Baby
By your
Week 8 of pregnancy, the crown to rump length of your baby is 0.56 to 0.8 inch (14 to 20 mm) nearly about the size of pinto bean. Your baby is finally starting to take on some of distinct human features, his lips, tongue and nostrils, as well as the buds for 20
baby teeth are formed; internal and external ears are also forming. Both toes and fingers are slightly webbed and are becoming prominent. Upper and lower limbs are developing joints (elbows and knees) and the lower limb bones are starting to ossify.
During
Pregnancy Week 8 your baby’s head is disproportionately larger than the rest of their body making up almost half of your little one’s height and weight, the baby's hind brain is visibly. The nerve cells in the brain are branching out to connect with one another to form a primitive neural pathway. The back muscles have started growing along the
spinal column, and his or her reproductive organs have also begin to form and soon will develop either as testis or ovaries. The embryonic tail is gradually disappearing, and eyelids will soon cover eyes on more stiff and erect head.
By this time next year your baby will be 20 Weeks Old.

mother’s womb. Our aim is to just acquaint you with the general process of baby’s development.
How's Mom Doing
The developing embryo is also starting to have a physical impact on you this week physically as well as hormonally. In this
Pregnancy Week 8 your uterus is getting bigger and you can notice changes in your breast too, soon you will need bigger bras with better support than your old ones. You may notice your waistline expanding as well. There will be an increase in your blood volume; by the end of your
Pregnancy, you'll have 40 to 50 percent more blood running through your veins to meet the demands of your baby. You will need for iron and other vitamin supplementation after discussion with your Doctor.
If you are feeling tired during this
Pregnancy period don’t worry because it is not uncommon to feel sluggish due to over production of hormones. Soon you will be able to relax a bit from its over-production of hormones as the placenta starts to regulate your
baby’s hormone. Try to get between nine and ten hours of sleep at night or take naps during the day.
